"carpe diem"

"seize the day"
We have most likely all heard this used at one time or another. It is used commonly to urge another to give little thought of the future and live in the current moment. A more literal translation would be "pluck the day [as it is ripe]" We all spend part of our life living in the past or worrying about the future and in doing so we miss out on the ripest fruit in out lives, today.
